Rowing Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership have teamed up to offer Cork secondary schools the Get Going…Get Rowing TrY Coaching Programme.
This unique peer-lead programme introduces the sport of rowing in a supportive environment and teaches TY students how to be coaches. Our Get Rowing staff will provide a one-day intensive training seminar to TY students, and for the six weeks that follow those TYs will then coach 1st and 2nd year students at their school in indoor rowing.

This programme costs €30 per TY participant and includes the training day, course materials, the loan of rowing machines, and a recognised Coaching Ireland/Rowing Ireland certificate for each TY who completes the programme. The course is limited to a maximum of 24 students per school
The programme is heavily subsidised by Rowing Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership.
Schools are invited to register their interest for the programmes at any point during the school year. However, as places are limited each school year, school will be accepted on a first come, first served basis
