From 23 to 30 September, people across Cork are invited to get moving and discover new ways to be active as part of European Week of Sport 2026. This annual European-wide celebration of sport and physical activity encourages people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle through a wide range of fun and inclusive activities.Â
Throughout the week, Cork Sports Partnership and local clubs, community groups and organisations will be hosting events across the county, giving everyone the opportunity to try something new, reconnect with physical activity and experience the many benefits of sport and movement. Whether you’re looking to take your first steps towards a more active lifestyle or are already a regular participant, there’s something for everyone during this year’s campaign. Under the theme#BeActive Your Way, European Week of Sport celebrates the power of movement and aims to inspire more people to get active in ways that work for them.
