Cork Sports Partnership Launches Annual Report 2024

Cork Sports Partnership (CSP) has today published its Annual Report 2024, detailing a year of substantial progress in increasing participation, strengthening partnerships, and delivering innovative programmes, projects, events, training, and campaigns across Cork.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of CSP’s activities, achievements, and strategic priorities, underscoring the organisation’s commitment to making sport and physical activity accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds across communities in Cork.

Key Highlights from the 2024 Report:

· Expanded Reach: Thousands of people across Cork participated in new or existing programmes, with a strong focus on inclusivity and community engagement.

· Innovation in Delivery: A broader range of sports and physical activity opportunities was delivered directly into communities, increasing accessibility and engagement.

· Stronger Partnerships: Collaboration was enhanced with local authorities, health agencies, educational institutions, national governing bodies, sports clubs, schools, services, and community groups to maximise impact.

· Commitment to Governance: Transparent reporting, prudent financial management, and robust oversight ensured long-term sustainability.

· Future Outlook: Strategic priorities for 2025 and beyond include scaling community hubs, embedding research and evaluation, and addressing participation gaps.

Participation in CSP programmes reached record levels in 2024:

  • 11,900 people engaged in multi-session tutor-led programmes
  • 34,627 participants attended one-off events
  • 10,882 individuals took part in self-led challenges and initiatives coordinated by CSP
  • 19,343 people attended 159 education and awareness workshops
