Are you curious about triathlon and looking for a safe, social, and supportive way to get started? This is your chance! Cork Sports Partnership and Triathlon Ireland are excited to offer the New2Tri programme at Coral Leisure Cobh
Starting Thursday, 23rd April 2026, this six-week programme is designed for women (over 18) who are new to triathlon with no experience. The New2Tri is the perfect introduction to swimming, cycling, and running in a welcoming and motivating environment.

What’s involved?
The programme will consist of 6 coached 2 hour weekly training sessions consisting of a back2back swim and bike (spin class)/run session – the swim session will be every week for 45 minutes, with the bike (spin class)/run alternating each week for six weeks for 45 minutes
What equipment do I need?
- Swimsuit, hat, goggles.
- Comfortable running clothes and runners.

- Week 1 – 23rd April 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Swim Pool & Spinning Bike
- Week 2 – 30th April 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Swim Pool & Run outside
- Week 3 – 7th May 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Run outside & Spinning Bike
- Week 4 – 14th May 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Swim Pool, Spinning Bike, Run outside
- Week 5 – 28th May 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Swim Pool, Run outside
- Week 6 – 4th June 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Mini Event

- Time: 7.00pm to 9.00pm
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Fee: €54.00 Triathlon Ireland Club Training Membership, plus €30.00 programme fee
- Registration: Purchase Triathlon Ireland Club Training Membership, then selected Women in Sport New to Tri Programme – Cork. (Two separate transactions).
- What to bring: Swimsuit, hat, goggles, runners, comfortable clothes.
