Rebel Run a Mile 2026
Cork Sports Partnership, in collaboration with Athletics Ireland, Boston Scientific and MTU Cork, are delighted to announce that registrations are now open for the 2026 Rebel Run a Mile Challenge.
This six-week challenge encourages disability service clients and special school or special class pupils to engage in a walk-to-jog programme with the aim of participating in a final celebratory mile event in June.
Groups are encouraged to start training on the week of May 4th to prepare for the mile track events which will take place on June 17th, 18th and 19th in MTU Cork.
Groups will receive a training booklet to guide their weekly training, but participants of all abilities are welcome to register and take part. On the mile event day, participants are welcome to walk, roll or jog their final mile or other chosen distance.
