Cork Sports Partnership and Tennis Ireland have teamed up to roll out a new Schools Tennis Programme this November. The programme aims to overcome the initial barriers of introducing tennis into a school environment by; equipping teachers with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to deliver fun and engaging tennis lessons as part of primary school PE no experience necessary

This programme includes:
- Two Mandatory teacher places at a practical, hands-on training day Facilitated by Tennis Ireland License Coach, and Cork Sports Partnership.
- Introduction to tennis in schools, including the benefits of the sport for children and guidance on creating safe, fun and inclusive PE experiences.
- Training on ROGY (Red, Orange, Green and Yellow) tennis, modified equipment and easy playground set-up with no courts or nets required.
- Access to Tennis Ireland’s lesson plans, achievement cards and school tennis resources to support delivery in your school.
- A school equipment pack to help teachers implement activities and introduce tennis to pupils immediately after training.
- Ongoing support, club-school link opportunities and the potential to participate in future school tennis blitzes and participation events.

- Cost: €50 per school – mandatory two teachers attending and 1 kitbag
