
Youth Leader Rugby Programme 2026
Cork Sports Partnership, Cork City Council, Cork ETB & Munster Rugby are delighted to launch the return of the popular Youth Leader Rugby Programme during the Easter break! Delivered in person from Sundays Well RFC this programme aims to support & develop youth participants coaching skills, confidence and leadership in a supportive environment!
Programme Details:
- Tues 31st March – Thurs 2nd April 2026
- 10am-1/2pm each day
- Sundays Well RFC, Virgin Media Park
- 16-21 Year Olds | Male & Female
- Sports Half Zip Included

What is involved?
- Full attendance and participation is required on each of the following workshops and courses:
- Tues 31st March: Sports First Aid 10am-12pm & Disability Awareness in Sport 12.30-1.30pm
- Wed 1st April: Safeguarding 1 Child Protection In Sport Course 10am-12.30pm
- Thurs, 2nd April: IRFU Play Rugby Course 10am-3pm
Criteria:
- Participants must be aged between 16-21 years old. Those under 18 will require permission from a parent or guardian. – Parent/guardian will be required to register on their behalf
- Have in interest in coaching children, experience not required
- Commit to attending all course dates and actively engage in each workshop
- Participants assisting as coaches following the programme will be required to be Garda vetted
- Interested participants will be required to give a short background on why they would like to participate on this programme
