Cork Sports Partnership in collaboration with Mountaineering Ireland is proud to announce the return of the Women in the Outdoors Programme, a dynamic initiative designed to inspire, educate, and empower women to take the lead in outdoor recreation and adventure.
Running from September to November 2025, this programme offers a unique blend of certified training, practical workshops, and community building — all set against the stunning backdrop of Cork’s natural landscapes.
What’s the Programme About?
The Women in the Outdoors Programme is tailored for women aged 18+ who are passionate about the outdoors and eager to develop their skills in a supportive, inclusive environment. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build on existing experience, this programme provides the tools and confidence to lead outdoor activities safely and effectively.
What’s Included?
Participants will engage in a series of certified modules and hands-on sessions, including:

🚶♀️ Walk Leader Training
🏕️ Camp Craft
♿ Disability Awareness
🩹 Sports First Aid
🛶 Intro to Paddlesports
These sessions are delivered by experienced instructors and take place across various locations in Cork City and County. Transport access is helpful, but carpooling is encouraged to support sustainability and community connection.
