
**2025/26 programme is now full**
Back for 2025, Cork Sports Partnership is delighted to announce we are now accepting registrations for the popular TY Sports Coaching Programme 2025/26. This programme will run for a limited number of students from Cork Secondary Schools during 2025/26 school year.
The aim of the programme is to upskill and develop Transition Year students by completing a package of National Governing Body Of Sport Coaching Courses. Students will then be given the opportunity to plan, run and co-ordinate internal school blitzes. Students will also be provided with the opportunity to support the delivery of a number of Cork Sports Partnership School events during the year which will provide hands on experience of mass participation events.

Please note:
- Max 4 student places per school | 6 schools will be accepted
- Schools will be selected on a first come first served basis, attend all course dates, ability to host one coaching course date and commit to deliver follow on sessions within your school
In return for full commitment to the programme, each student will receive qualifications and resources from the following sports coaching courses which will be held in the successful host schools:
Courses & Dates:
- Olympic Handball Ireland | Level 1 & Referee Course (Thurs, 16th Oct, Bishopstown CS)
- GAA Handball | Foundation Level Coaching Course (10am-12pm Thurs, 6th Nov in a host school)
- Disability Awareness In Sport Sports Course (12.30-2.30pm Thurs, 6th Nov in a host school)
- Athletics Ireland | Athletics Assistant Coach Course (Thurs, 27th Nov @ MTU)
- Volleyball Ireland | Foundation Level Coaching Course (Thurs 29th January, 10am, in a host school)
- New Sport To Be Added (Thurs, 12th Feb in a host school)
- FAI | Me And My Ball Coaching Course (March in a host school)
