Meitheal Mara, Cork’s community boatyard and maritime training centre, is excited to announce a new opportunity to join their team! They are currently recruiting for a part-time Water Activities Assistant Manager – Trainer to help them deliver inclusive, engaging, and empowering water-based experiences to people of all ages and backgrounds.

About the Role
This is a 19.5-hour per week position, offered on a fixed-term contract until October 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting their water activities programme, which includes rowing, sailing, and dragon boat paddling. You’ll work closely with youth and community groups, helping to foster confidence, teamwork, and a love for the water.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering water-based training sessions and supporting events
• Assisting with boat maintenance, logistics, and safety procedures
• Supporting programme administration, including funding applications and reporting
• Working with a diverse team to promote inclusion and community engagement

Who They Are Looking For

They are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and passionate about working with people. Experience in water activities, community engagement, or training is a plus. Garda vetting will be required for the successful candidate.
