Get Cork Walking Autumn Schools Challenge 2023

Following on from a hugely successful Step into Spring Schools Walking Challenge, Cork Sports Partnership and Get Ireland Walking are delighted to announce our Autumn Walking Challenge for Cork Schools.

The Step into Spring Schools Walking Challenge saw 5,558 students from 81 schools across Cork city and county walk a combined 110,000kms over 6 weeks.

Cork Sports Partnership is hoping to make the Autumn challenge even bigger with more students taking part.

The challenge consists of 3 distance options and will begin on the 2nd of October and will run until the 3rd of November 2023. Teachers are now invited to register their class for free through the online form below. 

What is involved?

• Teacher registers their class 
  • Deadline for Registration is Monday, September 25th
• Cork Sports Partnership acknowledges the registration and emails the challenges details, resources etc.
• Each school will be posted an A3 Get Cork Schools Walking Challenge poster to track distance.
• Classes begin their challenge of accumulating 10km/15km/20km between the  2nd of October and the 3rd of November.
• At the end of the challenge each teacher will be posted a class completion certificate and emailed a printable student certificate.
• Each school who has completed the challenge will be entered into a draw to win a number of schools sports equipment.
