Bike Week Cycle To Blarney
A cycle out to Blarney Castle, on to the Blarney to Waterloo Green way and back to Cork. There will be a break for a picnic at Blarney Castle.

Time:  1:30pm-6pm

Location: Meeting point Michael Collins Bike Statue outside the Library on Grand Parade

Suitability: Adults. Will be suitable for all those capable of competent road cycling and covering short/medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes.

Bike Week Doc And Bike Maintenance Intro
How to do a quick bike safety and maintenance check and demonstration of a few basic repairs and adjustments as require by participants. To make it easier for people to begin and continue cycling by enabling them to at least spot potential problems on their bike which would otherwise make cycling difficult and so discourage them from continuing cycling and ideally enable them to solve minor problems themselves.

Time:  12:30pm-1:30pm

Bike Week Movie Night
To celebrate bike week the Friary Bar will treat us to a showing of classic Bicycle film

Free snacks & popcorn for everybody!

Bike Week 4 Cities History Cycle

A gentle guided cycle visiting the four distinct towns that came to form Cork city hear the story of their history and unique identity.

Time:  7pm-10pm

Suitability: All will be shorter, slower route and so be particularly suited to less confident cyclists.

‘Thar Be Dragons!’ Ebikes For The Uninitiated
Introduce people to the wide range of e-bike options out there…without the marketing! Ebikes have taken the world, the market is awash in choices.  Why are some so dear, others selling as Internet bargains? This is a chance to learn about eBikes free of sales pressure. There will be bikes to examine and discuss.

Fix Your Puncture and Tyres Taster
An intro session on tyres, this will give a better understanding of how these should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike, such as punctures. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used. Bad weather could affect this outdoor event.

Clonakilty Community Bike Project
Bike 4 Work, We source and repair bicycles for recent migrants, and introduce them to the cycling culture in Clonakilty with the intention of supporting integration.

To encourage active travel and team bonding. A morning cycle for staff to encourage active travel and bringing staff together for a fun, safe cycle on the newly opened Midleton to Mogeely stretch of the Midleton Youghal Greenway. It is 8km to Mogelly and 8km back.
