A new way to experience school handball
For 2026/27, Olympic Handball Ireland is introducing a new and exciting Festival format for Primary Schools, putting participation, enjoyment and the experience of every child at the heart of the day.
Teams will play multiple matches throughout the Festival, earning points towards their final classification:
WIN — 3 points | DRAW — 2 points | LOSS — 1 point
Competition remains an important part of the experience, with the highest-ranked teams progressing through the Schools Festival pathway:
LOCAL / COUNTY FESTIVAL → PROVINCIAL FINALS → ALL-IRELAND FINALS
