Last Friday, Minister Jerry Buttimer published the Dormant Accounts Fund Annual Report 2025 during a visit to Kinsale Water Sports Inclusion Hub in Garretstown, Co. Cork
More than €43 million was provided through the fund in 2025, supporting 57 measures across Ireland
The Dormant Accounts Fund supports initiatives that address economic, social and educational disadvantage and create greater opportunities for people with disabilities.
Kinsale Water Sports Inclusion Hub is one example of that impact, helping people of all abilities to enjoy accessible watersports and outdoor activities
The goal of the project is to position Kinsale as a centre of excellence and a destination for all types of accessible water sports and outdoor activities. Cork Sports Partnership is working alongside our fantastic partners in Kinsale Sailability, Kinsale OEC, Surf2Heal and Sailing into Wellness alongside the wider community, to support those with additional needs to benefit from being active on and near the water
