Cork Sports Partnership is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for community leaders and health professionals in North Cork: Activator Walking Pole Tutor Training, taking place on Monday, April 20th, 2026, at Ballinacarriga Community Centre.

This free, full-day training course is designed for individuals with prior experience using Activator poles who are eager to bring the benefits of this innovative walking technique to their communities. Delivered by the experts at FitWalk Ireland, the programme blends theory and practice to equip participants with the skills needed to lead effective Activator programmes.

🧠 What You’ll Learn:
Participants will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Teaching the Activator technique
  • Using poles to enhance joint mobility, balance, strength, and aerobic fitness
  • Delivering community-based Activator programmes tailored to older adults and individuals with mobility or balance concerns

This training is ideal for professionals in:

  • Participants should hold a relevant qualification and have experience leading physical activity sessions, particularly with older adults or those with mobility challenges.
