Six Week Walking Challenge for Disability Services and Special Schools

Cork Sports Partnership and Get Ireland Walking are delighted to launch the 2026 Step into Spring walking challenge for disability services and special schools. 

The challenge will run for six weeks from Monday, February 16th to Friday, March 27th. 

Over the duration of the challenge, participants are encouraged to aim to walk or roll for twenty days or more. 

Each participating group will receive a tracking poster to record their daily steps and movement. 

Service staff and teachers are invited to sign up now. 

What is Involved?

  • Teachers or disability service staff register their school, service, or group through the forms below. Each class/group registered will receive an A2 tracker poster. Clients, service users, or pupils do not receive individual posters.  
  • Tracking posters will be delivered to schools and services.
  • Groups and classes begin the challenge of walking or rolling for twenty days or more over six weeks. 
  • Each day your class/group completes a walk, mark on your tracking poster.
  • Each class/group will receive a certificate at the end of the challenge.
