Rebel younsters to compete against the rest of the world at this year’s International Children’s Games in Tallinn, Estonia this August…
This years International Children’s Games (ICG) is taking place from the 3rd to the 8th of August in Tallinn, Estonia. The ICG commenced in 1968 and to date over 50,000 young athletes, from over 900 cities, have competed against their peers. Cork City are sending an 18 strong team to the games this year to compete across three sports, Athletics, Swimming & 3v3 Basketball.
Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Fergal Dennehy, said “What a fantastic opportunity for young people from our city to go and compete on the international stage. We are all very proud of them and are looking forward to seeing them represent Cork with their skills, personalities and passion. Participating in sport is vital for young people, it leads to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle in later life.
