Lace up your runners … the Rebel Run a Mile challenge for disability services is back!
Rebel Run a Mile 2024
Cork Sports Partnership, in collaboration with Athletics Ireland and Boston Scientific, are delighted to announce that the 2024 Rebel Run a Mile challenge is now open for registration.
The challenge, which is now in its eighth year, guides adults accessing disability services in Cork along a six-week training journey and concludes with a celebratory one-mile event. The challenge is open to adults of all abilities, with the option to jog, walk or roll the final mile.
The challenge begins the week of September 2nd, with the final mile event being held the week of October 14th.
Each participant will receive a training logbook, t-shirt and medal. The logbook includes directions on suitable warm-ups and cool-downs and allows participants to track their weekly training. Staff leaders who register will also receive a t-shirt.
The closing date for registration is Friday the 9th of August 2024. Owing to the programme’s popularity, logbooks, t-shirts or medals cannot be guaranteed after this date, so we recommend booking soon.
