Step Into Summer
Special Schools and Disability Services Walking Challenge 2024
Cork Sports Partnership and Get Ireland Walking are delighted to announce the second annual ‘Step into Summer’ Cork Special Schools and Disability Services Walking Challenge 2024.
The challenge consists of 3 distance options and will run from the 1st to the 31st July 2024. Teachers and services are now invited to register their class/ group for free through the online form below.
What is involved?
- Teacher or disability service staff register their class.
- Deadline for Registration is Wednesday, June 25th
- Cork Sports Partnership sends out their challenge poster and certificates to be filled out at the end of the challenge.
- Each school and service will receive a Step into Summer Schools and Services Walking Challenge poster to track distance.
- Groups and classes begin their challenge of accumulating 15km/10km/5km between 1st July and 31st of July.
- This year we hope to arrange a culminative event to mark the end of the challenge. More details to come soon!
Distances:
- Gold distance: 15k
- Silver distance: 10k
- Bronze distance: 5k
