Become a confident swimmer in 2024!!
Swim Ireland, Cork Sports Partnership and Leisureworld Cork have teamed up to host 4 new Swim For A Mile Programmes in Bishopstown, Churchfield and Douglas starting in January 2024!
What is Swim For A Mile?
Swim For a Mile (SFAM) is a 10-week swimming programme, that enables adults and children aged 16+ who can swim a little, to swim a mile! The programme is written by Swim Ireland coaches and runs from January each year. Swimmers can choose to follow the programme in their own time or to join one of our SFAM training groups at a participating pool. At the end of the 10 weeks, participants have the chance to complete a timed mile (or half mile) in an official Swim For A Mile Challenge Event.

- Time: 6.30pm or 7.30pm
- Cost: Event cost €35

Swim For A Mile Clinics (open to those registered for the programme and those just for the event)
- Leisureworld Bishopstown: Saturday January 27th from 16:30-17:30
- Leisureworld Bishopstown: Saturday February 24th from 16:30-17:30

You can also download a FREE weekly training programme from www.swimforamile.com. Each week contains three sessions, including content, drill descriptions and demonstration videos. Those who register for a 2024 event will also gain access to expert led technique clinics from International and Olympic swimmers.
