Schools Badminton Programme Sept 2024

Cork Sports Partnership and Badminton Ireland have teamed up to roll out a new Schools Badminton Programme this September. The programme aims to overcome the initial barriers of introducing badminton into a school environment by; educating teachers to coach Badminton, providing teachers with session plans and equipment to deliver the game while also developing club-school links.

  • Upskilling teachers to coach Badminton
  • Providing teachers with session plans and resources to deliver the game
  • Creating links between local clubs & schools

This programme includes:

  • Shuttletime Teachers Course (mandatory 2 teachers per school attending)
  • Disability Inclusion Training
  • School Affiliation
  • Blitz Day
  • Kitbag & Coaching Plans

Teachers Course Details:

  • Teacher Training Date: Wed, 18th Sept
  • Venue: Colaiste Choilm, Ballincollig
  • Time: 10am–4pm
  • Cost: €80 per school – two teacher places and 2 kitbags (30 rackets and shuttlecocks)
