Mallow Castle Junior Parkrun Launched

The inaugural Mallow Castle junior parkrun took place on Sunday June 11th. Over 90 participants took part in the first ever event around the 2km circuit.

The buzz and excitement was evident from the start as a large crowd of runners, volunteers and parents gathered at the start line. Conditions were ideal for the race and an impressive run saw Tadhg Corcoran get home in a time of 7:35 for the boys and Ciara Kiely was the fastest girl at a time of 8:17

Tremendous work was done by all the volunteers and race director to get the event up and running. Cork Sports Partnership were delighted to support this event to get more kids active in North Cork.
