Guide Running Workshop Cork

Interested in becoming a guide runner?

Vision Sports Ireland, Athletics Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership are delighted to bring you an opportunity to complete guide running training in Cork this Summer.

In guide running, a blind or vision-impaired runner is assisted to jog or run by a sighted runner. This could be for exercise and training purposes or race participation.

Vision Sports Ireland and Athletics Ireland are seeking to build a community of guide runners across the country to assist those who are blind or have a vision impairment and want to run.

The training consists of two parts:

  • A 90-minute online workshop: completed before in-person training.
  • A 90-minute in-person workshop.

To receive certification both the online and in-person sessions must be completed.
