Cork Walking Week runs from 23rd to the 29th of September 2024!
This year as part of the National Walking Day Campaign, Cork Sports Partnership has partnered with Get Ireland Walking and Cork City Council to provide a number of FREE activities to celebrate both functional and recreational walking across Cork City and County throughout the week!
A number of stakeholders, organisations and community groups will host events and provide opportunities for everyone to get out and about through walking during the month of September. This campaign will also highlight the work of the Get Cork Walking Project and stakeholder network. Take a look below for more information and to register.

Walking Groups around Cork are also welcome to register their own walks HERE.
Cork Sports Partnership and HSE Health Promotion and Improvement will host 2*Walk Your Way Workshops as part of Cork Walking Week. These workshops are ideal for those who would like to feel more confident leading a walking group in their community or would like to improve their skills in this area. You will meet a group on like-minded individuals and receive expert advice from the HSE.

We are delighted that a number of new Active Community Walking Programmes will be taking place in September and October. This 6 week programme includes one guided walk per week and aims to give you the skills to continue walking with the newly established group in your area.

On Sunday 22 September, Cllr Kieran McCarthy will host his hugely popular Stories from Blackrock and Mahon, Historical Walking Tour of Blackrock Village. The meet in , 2pm (free, 2 hours, finishes at railway line walk).
