Get Cork Walking Charter Development

Cork Sports Partnership was delighted to host and facilitate another Get Cork Walking Stakeholder Network meeting on the 24th of April 2024. The purpose of this gathering was to inform and design the Get Cork Walking Charter as well as discuss the progress made towards the completion of the Action Plan 2023-2024. 

We welcomed the existing stakeholders who have been involved from the very beginning as well as some new representatives from new organisations. The expansion of this network is a key action within the Get Cork Walking Action Plan so we are delighted that there is so much interest from such a diverse network. 

After further development and consultation the Get Cork Walking Charter was launched on the 28th of January 2025 from the Council Chambers of Cork City Hall. We are delighted that so many stakeholders have committed to promoting walking and advocating for the pedestrian across Cork City and County.
