DESCRIPTION:Winner announced on our live stream on November 24th at 7pm\nThe Active Cork Community Awards were established by Cork Sports Partnership under its Active Cork Communities Initiative to honour\, recognise and celebrate the individuals and groups in our local communities that go above and beyond in their efforts to promote community sport and physical activity opportunities\, while equally promoting positive health and wellbeing for all. Those nominated enhance the quality of life and health of their local community. \nWith over 70 nominations the judges had a very difficult time to pick just three finalists across the four categories.  All finalists selected by the judging panel embodied what these awards are all about\, local volunteers who are passionate about supporting and promoting people of all ages and abilities to be physically active in the community. DESCRIPTION:Cork Meet & Train Initative \nCork Meet & Training is a social running initiative to support people in getting active and connecting with like minded people who enjoy running together. The initiative is being coordinated by Cork Sports Partnership with the support of Davis Events and the Cork City Marathon as well as a number of clubs across the city and county. These clubs will provide a safe and enjoyable space for people  who would like to meet up with like minded people and go for a run on a weekly basis.
